The private house is located in the quiet and unique town of Kostanjica (Morinj), 70 meters from the sea.
The house is surrounded by a cascading garden and flower gardens as well as a hundred-year-old chestnut forest that provides a feeling of pleasant freshness even during the hottest summer days. In front of the house is a spacious veranda equipped with a dining table and outdoor seating.
Castana and Tramontana beach bars are within walking distance and serve delicious coffee and other drinks as well as fantastic food selection.The post office and supermarket are about a 10-minute walk away.
The house provides WiFi and a private parking space.
The nearest airport is Tivat Airport, 12 km away.
If you like to stay near the UNESCO World Heritage Site, but not in the tourist crowd, this house is the best alternative for you. The house offers a homely, but at the same time luxurious and peaceful vacation and hideaway.
Space
Our house was furnished at the beginning of 2022.
It provides all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay (eg. cable TV, WiFi, dishwasher, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, air conditioning, etc.).
The house has a size of 60 m2, with 2 bedrooms and one bathroom.
The first bedroom offers a bed measuring 160x200 and a built-in wardrobe. The second bedroom has one pull-out bed and also a built-in wardrobe.
The house has a capacity of max. 4 people.
Kostanjica (Morinj)
One of the most magical places on the picturesque Bay of Kotor is Morinj. The village nestles between deep green hills, embroidered with exotic flowers and lush Mediterranean greenery, and the turquoise sea. The water is particularly clear around Morinje thanks to the numerous springs that rise around the village, giving the area the alternative name of 'Little Venice'.
Morinj is also the location for the most famous restaurant in the Bay of Kotor, Ćatovići Mlini, a wonderfully restored old mill set in Morinj meadows. This and other ancient houses that stand out by the sea evoke the centuries-old spirit of the bay. Several beaches and a small marina complete the local amenities.
Morinj is a few minutes away from the historic village of Perast, with the palaces of Venetian merchants and sea captains from the 17th century, who fight for the best view of the beautiful island monastery of St. George.
Nearby is the luxury marina complex Porto Montenegro.
Bay of Kotor
Boka Kotorska, i.e. the Bay of Kotorska, is a place of stunning natural beauty and is a member of the "Most Beautiful Bays in the World" association. It is the southernmost fjord in Europe - a vast, butterfly-shaped expanse of water surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery.
It is also a magnet for discerning buyers of overseas property in Montenegro: many beautiful villages and towns dot the coast.
At the head of the fjord is the old town of Kotor, which in 1979 became a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site. Narrow streets open to preserved squares, churches and palaces. The awe-inspiring city walls from the 12th century climb 200 meters up the mountain face and form an impressive backdrop for the annual Venetian Carnival in Kotor.
Montenegro is a fantastic country, it stole our hearts.
Local tourist tax
According to the regulations in force in Montenegro, all foreigners/tourists are required to register within 24 hours of entering Lavender Bay at the latest. You are required to register yourself. The procedure is quick and simple, and everything you need to register accommodation is explained in the following paragraphs.
Registration of tourists' stay is done at the offices of the Kotor Tourist Organization.
Administrative service is charged €1 per person. The residence tax is €0.80 per day.
Persons who do not have to pay residence tax are:
o Children under 12 years of age;
o Persons with disabilities;
o Persons with referrals for spa and climate treatments or special rehabilitation, given by the competent board of doctors;
The residence tax is reduced by 50% for persons from 12 to 18 years of age.
